How to Type č (C with caron) on Google Docs

Need č on Google Docs for a name, an address or a word in another language? You do not have to copy it from a website every time. The fastest method is Insert → Special characters, and there are a few backups below for when that one is not available.

Click Insert → Special characters.
Type "c with caron" or the code 010D in the search box, or draw the letter in the box.
Click č to insert it.

Method 2: Use your computer's shortcut

Docs accepts whatever your operating system types. On Windows use the Win+. symbols panel; on a Mac use Unicode Hex Input (hold Option and type 010D); on a Chromebook press Ctrl+Shift+U, type 010D and press Space.

Method 3: Automatic substitution

Go to Tools → Preferences → Substitutions.
Add a shortcut such as ccc in the left column and paste č in the right.
Click OK. Typing the shortcut and a space now inserts č.

About the letter č

č is Unicode U+010D, named LATIN SMALL LETTER C WITH CARON. It is used in Czech, Slovak, Croatian, Slovenian, Latvian and Lithuanian.
