Typing these letters quickly

On Windows, the fastest built-in route is an Alt code, for example Win+. and the Symbols tab for ą. On a Mac, hold the a key or use Unicode Hex Input. On phones, add the Lithuanian keyboard so every letter sits on the long-press menu. The full typing guide has a chart for every letter.

Capital letters

Every lowercase Lithuanian letter above has a capital form, and you should keep the accent on capitals. Dropping accents from capitals is an old typewriter habit; modern style guides for most languages, including the official French and Spanish academies, recommend keeping them.

Sorting and searching Lithuanian text

Computers sort accented letters by code point unless told otherwise, which can put them after z. Use a locale-aware sort (for example localeCompare with the Lithuanian locale in JavaScript, or a Lithuanian collation in your database) so lists follow Lithuanian alphabetical order.
