How to Type ť (T with caron) on Microsoft Word

The letter ť does not have its own key on an English keyboard, but Microsoft Word still makes it easy to type. Use 0165 then Alt+X, or pick one of the other methods in this guide. ť appears in Czech and Slovak.

Method 1: Alt+X Unicode trick

  1. Type 0165 where you want the letter.
  2. Press Alt+X. Word turns the code into ť.

Press Alt+X again to turn it back into the code. On a Mac, Word uses the macOS methods instead.

  1. Go to Insert → Symbol → More Symbols.
  2. Set "from" to Unicode (hex) and type 0165 in Character code.
