How to Type ŝ (S with circumflex) on Android

The letter ŝ does not have its own key on an English keyboard, but Android still makes it easy to type. Use Add Esperanto keyboard, or pick one of the other methods in this guide. ŝ appears in Esperanto.

Method 1: Long-press the letter

ŝ is not on the long-press menu of the plain English keyboard. Add the Esperanto keyboard, then touch and hold s or use the key it adds.

Method 2: Add the Esperanto keyboard

Open Settings → System → Languages & input → On-screen keyboard → Gboard → Languages.
Tap Add keyboard and pick Esperanto.
Switch keyboards with the globe key or by holding the space bar.

Method 3: Personal dictionary shortcut
