How to Type ŕ (R with acute) on Windows

The letter ŕ does not have its own key on an English keyboard, but Windows still makes it easy to type. Use Win+. → Symbols, or pick one of the other methods in this guide. ŕ appears in Slovak.

Method 1: Emoji and symbols panel (no number pad needed)

Press Win+. (period) to open the panel.
Select the Symbols tab (Ω).
Choose the Latin symbols group and click ŕ.

How to type the capital Ŕ

The uppercase form works the same way with Shift added where a letter is typed.

About the letter ŕ

ŕ is Unicode U+0155, named LATIN SMALL LETTER R WITH ACUTE. It is used in Slovak. A short line slanting up to the right.
