How to Type â (A with circumflex) on Chromebook

Method 1: Unicode shortcut
- Press Ctrl+Shift+U. An underlined u appears.
- Type 00e2.
- Press Space or Enter and â appears.

Method 2: US International keyboard
Add it in Settings → Device → Keyboard and inputs → Input settings → Add input methods, then switch with Ctrl+Space. Press Shift+6 (^), then A.
Method 3: French keyboard

About the letter â
â is Unicode U+00E2, named LATIN SMALL LETTER A WITH CIRCUMFLEX. It is used in French, Portuguese, Romanian, Welsh and Vietnamese. A small caret (^) above a vowel. In French it often marks a vanished s (forêt from forest), in Portuguese a closed vowel, in Welsh a long vowel, and in Vietnamese a distinct vowel (â, ê, ô). Troubleshooting
- Ctrl+Shift+U does not work in some Android apps on ChromeOS. Use it in Chrome and web apps.
